the mask, what is this mask? this is not just the material mask we are talking about like the one Jim Carrey puts on in the movie, or the Batman puts on in his movie.. no! these are masks which we can see. Surprisingly there are other masks which are invisible to a naked eye. These invisible masks are the top seller in the market.. some need monetary strength some need training alone and some need nothing, but one thing is common to all the invisible masks, they are one of the best tools for making you 'one of them'.
We are always pretending to be someone else, for different people. If I'm trying to impress a girl, i will be the best boy in the town, with best manners possible. Will this Best Boy quality last forever? i Doubt! I change, faster than the chameleon. Office has its own kind of demand for a person- obedient, the yes man, the man who is seemed as the one who is balancing his personal and professional life in the best way possible, so i wear that mask! I go to bar with my friends and I brag about going out with this girl, and how she was completely impressed. I go home and then thats it, the manners in me is down to nothing, i fight with my neighbour because his kids dirtied my house-door, I throw the laundry on the couch and sit on with an office assignment, i switch on the News and then tell to myself, oh my god! these bollywood actors and the politicians are hypocrites, politicians good at acting and actors fighting with each other like dogs(no just in the movies)!

where did this mask came into picture? did we really buy this? Yes, we did.. sometimes at a cost and sometimes free. we went to school and learnt to be good to friends and bad to enemies. We went to college and learnt that money is everything, so thus started the quest and preparation for a new mask. then we start earning and collect a lot of money, then we think of memories, try to recreate them, talk to friends, do everything possible. The masks keep changing, one on the other, not one after the other. making the real self getting deeper and deeper as it could go.
Blind:
The masks makes you invisible, this invisible hides you, the real you, from the entire world. And when we talk about the entire world, we almost always consider ourselves a part of it. Does that mean the real I is invisible to me? quite possible! in the pursuit of trying to fool the entire world we are forgetting ourselves- what did we really like, what principles did we always stood for, what did we initially think, we would be and what we are now!
Beyond:
There is no good or bad in this world. Wearing a mask, not wearing a mask, realising the masks you wear or not giving a shit about this topic at all, doesn't matter. What matter is whether you are doing the right thing for yourself. How you define self again depends, for me, self could be just me, or my family, or my wife, or my state, my nation, anything or nothing. This definition will decide what people perceive of you. Some situations require you to wear masks, so be it. The whole point is never, never let "The Mask Eat the Face".
Well said. Amazingly written, made a very nice point. Keep it up :)
